You can't simply say we’re one of the many 'exciting, friendly, Bible-believing, you're gonna love it here' churches. Those things certainly do apply to us, but there is much more to Grace Church.
• Our non-denominational status allows us the freedom to welcome anyone from any – or no – religious background.
• We teach Biblical salvation – without the long list of "dos and don'ts."
• We enjoy friendly fellowship, individual Bible study, and constructive discussion on Biblical interpretation.
• The size of our congregation allows us to get to know each other, much like a family.
If you have no regular church affiliation, we encourage you to visit and get to know us.
OUR MISSION: To introduce others to Jesus Christ while enjoying his forgiveness and friendship with our family at Grace Church.
STATEMENT OF BELIEFS
The Holy Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are held to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for salvation, and the Divine and final authority for all believer’s faith and life as rightly explained (II Timothy 2:15; 3:16-17).
We believe all people are, by nature, sinful and in need of a Savior (Romans 5:8-10). God justifies us by grace through faith in Christ’s shed blood. His salvation is a free Gift. It is by grace we have been saved, through faith, not by works of any kind. All believers are secure only in Jesus Christ, our God and Savior, and are expected to live according to the forgiveness received (Romans 3:22-26; Ephesians 2:8-9; Ephesians 1:13-14; I John 2:1-2).
THE BLESSED HOPE
Jesus Christ died and God resurrected Him bodily with power (Luke 24:39). Therefore all believers will have a bodily resurrection in the Kingdom of God. (Acts 24:14-15; I Corinthians 15:21-22).
Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary to begin the “days of His flesh” (Luke 1:35). Declared the ‘Son of God’ at his baptism, He served God obedient to death (Philippians 2:6-9). Jesus awaits God’s call to govern the earth when God the Father intervenes to establish the Kingdom of God. (Matthew 6:9-10; Matthew 12:18-21; Romans 1:3-4; Acts 3:19-21). Presently He is the one Mediator of God and Mankind. (I Timothy 2:5-6).
We believe that as a Believer and a member of Grace Church, we have the responsibility to live a life to the best of our ability that reflects the precepts outlined above. This includes regularly attending services and supporting the church through contributions of both time and money.
WHY DO WE BELIEVE THIS WAY?
The rally cry of fundamentalism at the turn of the last century was, “the Book, the Blood, and the Blessed Hope.” In that spirit, we want to provide a positive, relevant and healing message on what we consider the basic beliefs of all Christians. We teach the Bible in a positive way, emphasizing the grace of God as the hope of hopelessly lost mankind. There is no sin God cannot forgive. Therefore, we believe we, too, should forgive and restore those who are in need, in the spirit of Galatians 6:1 & 2. “Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted. Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Mankind is in need of direction. We find that direction in the Bible. Mankind needs a savior. Jesus Christ shed His blood that all who believe in Him may live. Mankind needs hope. Because Jesus lived, died, resurrected and ascended, He provides us with the hope of a new life after we die. This is the simple message of Fundamentalism and of Grace Church’s fundamental beliefs.
